What's on Offer

Along with other OCNs we offer access to the range of NOCN Qualifications as well as the opportunity to access locally devised units of assessment. From this approved centres can design their own accredited courses to suit the needs of individual learners or groups of learners.

In addition, some centres may wish to consider offering QAA approved Access to HE courses. As an AVA (Access Validating Agency), we can offer a range of regional Access programmes or help design and approve new programmes that may add a different aspect to Access not previously catered for.

NOCN Qualifications cover a wide range of subject areas are being added to all the time. NOCN qualifications are part of the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) and are listed in section 96 and or 97 and are therefore fundable by the LSC. (Centres should always consult wither their LSC if provision relies on this funding).

Recent additions to the qualification suite are the Progression Qualifications available at four levels, (entry3, one, two and three). These qualifications are composed of a large number of units which can be combined to form individually designed qualifications to meet the need of learners. The qualifications are composed of core units and optional units and cover a wide range of subject areas.

All qualifications are made up of individual units of assessment that can be delivered and awarded separately, combining over time to full qualifications enabling learners to progress at their own speed.
